Saw palmetto, also known as dwarf palm, is a plant that promotes hair growth by helping to reduce DHT, a hormone that shrinks hair follicles and leads to progressive hair thinning.*

Our strength

Our Saw Palmetto is dosed at 320 mg per day, with 45% fatty acids, the most clinically studied concentration for its effects on hair loss.

Why 320 mg of Saw Palmetto?

This is the dosage used in the reference clinical studies on hair loss, which shows measurable effects on hair density and cycle. Below this dosage, the inhibitory effect on DHT is insufficient to truly act on the follicles.

Why 45% fatty acids?

Fatty acids are the active ingredients in Saw Palmetto: they are responsible for inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT. A standardized extract of 45% guarantees that each dose contains the same active concentration, unlike non-standardized extracts, where the actual active content can vary threefold from one batch to another.
